Sting of the Rain

Take another glance in the mirror
To look over where i've been
I want to try to remember
To forget this would be a sin
And i've got enough strikes against me
And i don't need to add to the load
Keep my hands on the throttle
Keep my eyes on the road.
It's like being the star of a movie
And i didn't want to play this part
And no amount of compromising
Is gonna take away this pain in my heart.
I'm getting kind of used to the darkness
And i reach to embrace the pain.
The only thing that keeps me awake
Is the sting of the rain.
It's a sting of the rain,
It's a sting of the rain,
Like the waters of life
Wash the dust from my soul
All i gotta do is just roll
(Solo)
Take another glance in the mirror
Where did i miss the signs
Did i lose my way in the darkness
Did my dreams leave me behind.
And i can't turn back to find them
I wouldn't know where to start
Keep my hand on the throttle
Ride the pain from my heart.
